DAY 1 BANGKOK - SUKHOTHAI

Transfer (to be organized by yourself) to the airport. Take a short flight from Bangkok to the former capital Sukhothai. After arrival you will be picked up by the hotel bus. Transfer (approx. 30 minutes) to the hotel. Then you get more than enough time to visit the Historical Park by your own (taxi service available at the hotel) and see the ancient temples, monuments and ruins. At the park entrance you got the opportunity to rent bicycles and cycle in the nice park with its many interesting sights. In the evening dinner will be served at the hotel.

DAY 2 SUKHOTHAI - CHIANG MAI

Some is some time left at leisure. Then late morning transfer (approx. 1 hour) to the neighbouring province of Phitsanulok, where you will be dropped at the railway station. Time left for a snack (not included). In the early afternoon board the train to Chiang Mai. On route to the northern capital the train will pass along some nice mountain wilderness and so makes it a pleasant journey. Arrive there early evening. End of service.

PRICE INCLUDES:

Air ticket Bangkok - Sukhothai, train ticket (2nd class air-con.) Phitsanulok - Chiang Mai, all transfers as mentioned in the above itinerary, accommodation at a middle- or upper middle class hotel (your choice), dinner and breakfast.

NOT INCLUDED:

Transfers to- and from Historical Park, entrance fees, drinks, tips and personal expenses.

REMARKS/FLEXIBILITY:

Instead by train it is possible to travel the distance from Sukhothai to Chiang Mai also on the road via Si Satchanalai and Lampang. Available as a transfer only, but also as a guided tour. If you wish to do so, please let us know at the time of booking.
