Khon Kaen Province

Khon Kaen is located is located on the Khorat Plateau in the central part of north-east Thailand and is the capital of the Khon Kaen District and of the province Khon Kaen. The names of the neighboring provinces of Khon Kaen are (starting from north and then clockwise) Nongbua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Buriram, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Chaiyaphum, Phetchabun and Loei.
