Take a short flight to the former capital Sukhothai. After arrival drive for approx. 30 minutes to the hotel, which is located on the road between the new town and the Historical Park. In the afternoon transfer to the Historical Park, where you can visit the old temples and ruins by your own. You have also the possibility to rent a bicycle and cycle around these interesting sights. Afterwards return back to the hotel by your own, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner. DAY 2 SUKHOTHAI - BANGKOK Some time to relax, then late morning transfer (approx. 30 minutes) to the airport, which is located some distance outside the town of Sukhothai. Take a short flight to Bangkok and arrive there in the early afternoon (time: 13.50) and continue your journey……….in case you do this stopover v. v. then transfer to airport early in the morning for flight to Chiang Mai.   PRICE INCLUDES: Air ticket Chiang Mai - Sukhothai and Sukhothai - Bangkok, all transfers as mentioned in the above itinerary, accommodation in a very good middle class hotel or in a tourist class resort (you have the choice) incl. breakfast and dinner.   NOT INCLUDED: Airport tax in Sukhothai, entrance fee Historical Park, all meals not mentioned in the above itinerary, drinks, tips and personal expenses   FLEXIBILITY: As mentioned already this itinerary can be done with begin in Bangkok and end in Chiang Mai as well.
